eMarketer have predicted advertisers in Australia will spend up to $1.36 billion on mobile ads in 2015 based on Q1 results. The
majority of spend is directed to smartphones and this represents a huge 60% increase compared to 2014 spending levels on mobile.

Today eMarketer released some insightful forecasts for mobile advertising spending and predicts mobile will surpass desktop by next year. In-app mobile ad spending in the US is expected to double from 2014 and will be just shy of $30 billion for this year.
“This year, app spending will outpace mobile web browser ad dollars nearly 3-to-1” eMarketer predicts.
As Marketers are now much better equipped to target users on mobile devices using a variety of creative solutions, it’s not surprising to hear mobile spending is going to overtake advertising on the desktop.
